Can't sleep

Oh, I hate it when I know I should be tired but just can't go to sleep. It is nights like these that I paruse ebay for hours. Yes, I could probably do something productive, but that's not fun, now is it?

So excited to be seing Baby K and the family tomorrow. Oh, how I have missed my baby so!

IT IS OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS!

Even without the usual traditions, I am uber excited that Christmas is here!!! I seriously love Christmas.

Went to church this evening. A different church, so not what I am used to, but lovely none the less. And it was only like 45 minutes, which rocked.

Looking forward to the 24 hours of Christmas movies, specials, etc...

Okay, I need to go to bed. I feel like a kid I can't sleep because it is Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

What have I done today? Well, let me tell you. Not much. Mostly knitting on the couch watching all the holiday specials on television. Drank a pot of coffee. Going to church this evening, so I guess eventually I'll have to change out of my warm fuzzy Christmas fleece pants and thermal shirt from old navy. Man, I love the fleece pants from old navy.

Pitty party over here

Okay, so it just hit me about an hour ago on my way home from Wal-mart (yes, you just have to go there sometimes, no matter how evil it is...) that I am going to be all alone on Christmas. Up until now I was thinking, 'hey, i can organize the closets' to keep me occupied. But seeing everyone, knowing what THEY would be doing on Christmas day, hearing all my friends tell of their grand plans to travel or bring people here, it just took my breath away. I shouldn't be sad. I have good health and a good job and Baby K will be loved, but there's something to be said about having someplace to go for Christmas and being with the people who love you. So all of you out there in internetland, appreciate your Christmas because some of us won't be so lucky.

Hum de dum de dum

Yep, another migraine...not 'turn off all the lights and leave me alone' but rather, 'dull pain for three days' type migraine. Enough to annoy me, but not to miss work or miss out on life. Boo to migraines!

Went shopping today. Boy, am I glad I did most of my shopping this summer. The prices are horrible and the crowds are even worse! I was not happy shopping and I love to shop! Of course the head thing didn't help...

Hmmm...that's about it. Not a whole lot going on right now.

Oh, except, check this out!

Beautiful day in the neighborhood

It's absolutely lovely outside. I think the three muskateers are going to have to go for a nice long walk when BabyK wakes up from his nap.

Other than that, life is good. Just gearing up for Christmas! I love Christmas.

Hum de dum

Not much going on today. It was a holiday so no work. Got some frames for my photos. Bought food for the event at work this week. Made some brownies (and at a couple). Also watched The Holiday. I really like that movie. Semi-realistic, happy ending, cute boys, good actors, it's about Christmas...

Oh, discovered poppies are apparently the flower of choice today. I googled it so I now know why, but in ALL my days I have never seen anyone wearing a poppy. The person who informed me made me feel like such a doof. Well, now I know for next year and maybe I'll write a post before hand so the gobs and gobs of people who read my blog will know too.

I'm freezing, so I think I might make some hot cocoa and find my slippers and snuggle with Riley and KP.

A true business man

Okay, so walking out of CVS today I was witness to a kind of funny and slightly disturbing conversation a man was having on his cell phone in the parking lot. He was so loud I couldn't not help but listen. At first I thought he was talking to a business associate, but soon realized, oh no, it was his girlfriend.

It went something like this when I figured out it was his lady friend:

"Now, see here I make half a million dollars every year at the very least. That is what I bring to the table. All you bring is good looks, and the fact of the matter is that no matter what, that is a depriciating asset. Every day you get older and eventually won't look so good. Any then what? What do you have? Absolutely nothing. Now me, I have half a million dollars and by investing it is constantly appreciating and making money. Now, tell me why would I want to compromise a profit? If it were a business deal it wouldn't make sense, so we don't make sense."

Wow. Harsh. I'm glad I'm not his girlfriend. He did have a nice car though...

Movie reviews

Okay, so not having cable I watch a lot of DVDs.

The Reaping - I'm not usually a fan of scaryish movies, but I actually enjoyed this one while I couldn't sleep last night. Hillary Swank has done better acting, but the big swarm of locusts was pretty cool.

Unaccompanied Minors - It is what it is. Enjoyable if nothing else to watch, but it's no Home Alone.

Movies I can't wait to watch:

Rented Transformers and that is on my schedule of useless things to do this afternoon. Wheee!

I just don't get it.

What is the appeal of turning your music up so loud in your car that your neighbors can hear it in their house as if the stereo was sitting next to them????

Love the new neighbors.

I love coupons

Okay, so I know I say this all the time, but I love coupons.

I went to the grocery store today and Juicy Juice was BOGO plus I had a coupon for a free Juicy Juice, so I got two full size things of juice for FREE. Whoo hoo! All in all I shaved about 70% off my grocery bill using coupons and store sales. I LOVE coupons.

What I don't love are poo poo heads. I was on my way to a meeting yesterday and some dufus turned right on his red while I was going on my green. I seriously have not been soooo close to an accident. Literally, TWO INCHES separated us from collision. He just looked at me and goes 'uh, hey man. sorry' and shrugs his shoulders. Who does that?

On a lighter note, this little gem was added to KP's Christmas list. Isn't it adorable?

A very happy Halloween

Well, another Halloween come and gone. I didn't dress up this year and KP was with his daddy, so not too much celebrating going on. I did buy a ton of candy though for the gobs of kids coming to my door...oh wait, only three came. Yeah! Breakfast for the next week! haha.

I felt worse for the neighbors. They went all out with lights and torches lighting the sidewalk and cool graveyard yard things and even dressing up as a princess. I just bought some chocolate and turned my light on.

Black Sheep Dancing

Interesting name, no? Why you may ask? Well, first of all the good names are already taken. This was about the fifth version of 'black sheep' I came up with, but I kinda like it. I've always been the black sheep of the family, of my friends, at school, at work...and I like that most of the time. Dancing? Well, who doesn't like a dancing sheep? Now that's just funny.
